What Is New Boat Protection?
LAUNCH Boat Protection is designed for one simple reason: even new boats break down, and when they do, repairs can be expensive and frustrating. Many boat owners spend years saving, planning, and working hard to purchase a new boat, with the expectation of enjoying stress-free time on the water. Mechanical and electrical failures can happen during normal use, and most owners quickly learn that insurance does not help with those situations.
LAUNCH offers nationwide mechanical and electrical breakdown protection, excluding California and Massachusetts, for new recreational boats between 16 and 40 feet. This type of protection has not traditionally been available to everyday boaters, which is why LAUNCH fills an important gap. It covers the kinds of breakdowns that boat insurance does not cover.
New boats may be reliable, but they are also complex machines operating in tough environments. Pumps fail, wiring corrodes, electronics glitch, and engines experience issues, sometimes early in ownership. These are not the moments boat owners plan for when they picture family weekends, fishing trips, holidays, and time spent with friends on the water.
LAUNCH exists to help manage those risks, so a single breakdown does not derail a season.
The program is built specifically for recreational boating, including families, anglers, wake and ski boaters, and pontoon owners, not commercial or luxury vessels. Enrollment is straightforward, with no inspections, interviews, or dealership involvement.
